SkyTran: an integrity test for politicians?

INTERMODAL TRANSIT - Transport experts, consultants, and politicians define it as follows: "Intermodal transit allows convenient passenger transfers between several modes of travel, including commuter rail, heavy rail, bus service and taxis".  That anyone can actually believe that a word such as "convenient" is appropriate or fitting in this context says that something is very wrong.

SkyTran plans to eliminate that beloved term, "intermodal transit," from the language of big city politicians! No longer will commuters have to use overly slow and costly public mass transit with its grindingly inefficient, time wasting transfers.

Until now, automobiles have been America's first choice for commuting to work because they take you directly to your destination, with no dreaded transfers, no standing around and no waiting. SkyTran will take you directly to your destination too, but cheaper and faster than any group mass transit or cars!

Transport experts, consultants, and city politicians often think it perfectly fine if everyone pays extra taxes forever to subsidize, run, and maintain their obsolete, slow, capital and labor intensive intermodal transit systems. They have the nerve to brag about cost effectiveness when fare revenues only cover 25% of their actual  operations costs. Such thinking also says that something is very seriously wrong.  SkyTran's efficiency can eliminate these taxpayer subsidized public transit money sink holes.
