WE ARE GETTING THERE!

9-9-99..... The LOW SLUNG BEAST!

Finally!  Off the assembly fixture and onto the ground.  Then a quick roll outside of the shop for some photos and right up into Bob Correll's truck for a three week trip to New York and Ohio.  Bob will be having the Jet engine plumbed and checked; the custom 2,000 degree Fahrenheit thermal blanket insulation made; and the graphite gaskets fitted.  Back in California Chip and Doug will be finishing the two parachute canisters and horizontal fin mounts.  At the same time Len Stobar will be putting the final touches on the all important F-18 front fairing, windscreen and molded-in control panel.  (Click HERE to see the Front Fairing progress)
