This is the complete test setup for one of the small horizontal elevators. Note the eight equally space LED's hooked to the circuit board shown in the previous picture and the round circuit board that fires off the Strobe Light flash tube at the end. The large vertical rudders will have 16 LED's each.
Each Strobe Light requires its own circuit to build up the 4000 volts needed to cause the bright flash . A master control triggers all four strobe light circuits simultaneously.

August 7, 1999. Each 4,000 Volt connector has already been improved! These ultra connectors use a spring plate to maintain a strong positive contact. Pullout forces are much higher than the original small multi connectors.
