6. JP-4 Multi-compartment Tank

This is a cardboad mockup of a three compartment tank.  It will contain 4.5 gallons of JP-4 jet fuel, 1.5 gallons of oil (lubrication) and 1 gallon of alcohol (injected at the start of a run to increase initial static thrust off the line).   This tank also serves as essential body support for Bob.  The angle and position of the chest support plate is critical for safe, comfortable F-18 controllability.  It will have three fill caps on the top surface and three feed tubes with shutoff valves on the bottom for the various liquids. The tank will be welded up from 6061-T6 aluminum.
