(maybe, just maybe, save
any city a billion or more taxpayer dollars and
provide faster, more convenient service than any proposed
Light Rail).
Footnotes:
*What is an "engineering story"?
This is a little fiction that will help you understand how engineers think
and what is going on in their brains. When practical engineers are
confronted by proposed "transit solutions" that seem to cost way too
much hard earned tax payer's money and which also makes claims for benefits to
the local citizens that are illogical and outrageous, the engineer's three
pounds of gray matter starts churning away. Are their better ways to move
people around a city that don't defy physics and won't be so overly
expensive?
We think you will like this presentation. It is fun and easy to
understand. And once you understand this simplified Choo Choo system it will
help you grasp several of the important innovations in the high speed SkyTran
system.
